The post office in Arenas Valley, New Mexico, is not one to brag about. On a cold winter day the temperature is about 30 degrees in the post office. It has no heat. The post office used to be a store and a 10-foot "Coca Cola" sign decorates the west wall on the outside. Just above the door there is a sign, in about two inch type,"Post Office, Arenas Valley N.M." The post office is a bus stop for the local kids. As a consequence most of the windows are always broken. Once in a while you can't even buy a three cent stamp there. The mail never gets there six times in succession at the same time. Maybe it will get to the post office for two days at 11:00 A.M. The next day it may get there at three o'clock or not at all. After all these things I suppose it could be worse.
